The Refugio Community Cemetery Association would like to take this opportunity to express our sincere appreciation to all who were involved in the dedication of Barefield School and the Willie O. Brown Sr. Juneteenth Celebration on Saturday, June 21.

We would especially like to thank the Refugio County Historical Commission for all their work in getting and receiving the historical marker for Barefield School. To all members of the Community Cemetery, all workers and staff who were instrumental in whatever was done to make this day the success it was we say thank you.

And last but certainly not least, we thank you the community and surrounding areas for helping us celebrate this milestone in the history of our town. We are sincerely grateful, for gratitude unlocks the fullness of life and it makes sense of our past, brings peace for today, and creates a vision for tomorrow. Again thanks to all.
