REFUGIO – The Refugio water system station on East Plasuela Street had to be shut down Wednesday morning, April 23, because of a bottom leak, according to Mayor Joey Heard. Because of the leak an excessive amount of chlorine had to be used to keep the water in compliance. Now that the station is shut down the water is in compliance and the cost of large amounts of chlorine have been eliminated. More information will be posted as it is received.
