REFUGIO – Morgan Klaevemann went 2-4 at the plate, but Refugio Lady Cats fell 10-4 to Edna on Friday.

Edna didn’t relinquish the lead after scoring two runs in the first inning when it scored on an RBI single.

After pushing across one run in the bottom of the second, Refugio Lady Cats faced just a 2-1 deficit.

An RBI single by Jackie Gonzalez fueled Refugio Lady Cats’ comeback.

Maddi Kucera ended the inning by getting Taylon Tuttle to fly out.

Edna pushed across two runs in both the third inning and the seventh.

In the third, Edna scored on a two-run home run.

One run in the bottom of the third helped Refugio Lady Cats close its deficit to 4-2.

An RBI single by Allie Upton set off Refugio Lady Cats rally.

Finally, Kucera forced McKayla Ramos to ground out to end the threat.

Edna added three more runs in the top of the fourth.

Two runs in the bottom of the seventh helped Refugio Lady Cats close its deficit to 10-4.

A groundout by Upton and an RBI double by Paige Wiginton gave Refugio Lady Cats life.

In the end, Felicia Wills grounded out to end the game.
