The members of the Refugio Volunteer Fire Department would again like to thank everyone who contributed in one way or another to help make our 22nd annual Labor Day dinner a great success. We find ourselves indebted to all our supporters who came out to help us put on a great meal to raise money for the department.
We hope everyone enjoyed the meal this year, and we keep trying to make improvements that we hope help us to serve a good meal and keep people looking forward to coming back. This year, a couple of apologies are in order. One, from the writer of this thank- you note for failing to get notice of the dinner into the Press beforehand. So sorry about that.
Also, we did not have enough signs out on the streets showing where the dinner was for our out-of-town guests. We will do better on those items next time. Thanks again to everyone who participated, either by helping us cook and serve the meal, or by donating all those great desserts, or by donating financially so that we could lessen our expenses on the meal, and thanks to all our great supporters who came out and bought tickets to the dinner. Also, a great big thanks to our firefighters who come together to help with the dinner, and a special thanks to all our non-member volunteers who help us in so many ways during our effort to put on a good Labor Day Dinner.
They all do an amazing job in some very hot conditions. All of you make it worthwhile for us to always try to improve our fire-fighting service to Refugio through our various fundraisers. Thanks again.
