GOLIAD – The Goliad City Council discussed the possibility of creating a city police department during Tuesday night's meeting and agreed to study surrounding cities' police forces.

Council heard from Goliad ISD Superintendent Emilio Vargas, Precinct 1 Deputy Constable Daniel San Miguel, former Mayor Hernan Jaso and others who expressed their opinions of creating a police department.
