ROCKPORT – After two wins came two straight losses, and the Beeville Major Girls All-Stars ended their season with a 9-7 loss to Ingleside on Sunday night.

The loss to Ingleside was preceded by a tough 10-7 loss to the Sinton girls on Saturday evening. The Beeville girls jumped to a 3-0 lead in the top of the first against Sinton. The hard-hitting Pirate girls powered their way to six runs in the bottom of the first to grab a lead they would never relinquish. Tiah Flores was the starter for the Beeville girls in the circle. Both games were competitive, but the Beeville girls came up just a little short in both contests.

“I’m very proud of the girls for all their hard work and dedication,” said coach Lisa Pelitire after the game on Sunday.

In the loss against Ingleside, the Beeville starting pitcher was Jessalyn Burkett, who went the first four frames. Brianna Moreno finished the contest by pitching the final two innings in relief.
