When a group of people protested the British Government, they opposed British rule. These people became united for a change of their beliefs. So can you imagine they wanted to leave Great Britain. As they set sail across the ocean to find a better place, towards the North American Continent!

When they landed on an Eastern Bay of America, I can almost hear all of them say, ‘We are free.’ “Free at last,” to create a better government, than British rule! Our forefathers pondered their minds, as they had a very strong desire to go back to biblical standards, They went to the related beginning, the story of Moses, begging Pharaoh to “Let my people go,” and be free at last, from Pharaoh’s bondage!

So the first settlers landed in America, were now free, from British prosecution, their hearts were full of happiness and joy! Even if they had to shed their own blood, for democracy and stand up for their independent belief of human rights. They remembered the days, where they came from, when they all signed, “The Declaration of Independence” on July 4th 1776. This land is our land, “We are free at last!”

Today our hearts should turn to our country, and I pray that our leaders will turn to “God the Father,” for the joy of liberty, in our city, state, and our national government...Shall we read psalms 133:1, “Behold how good and pleasant it is, for our brethren to dwell in unity!

Our dear and most heavenly Father, we thank you for your love, grace and mercy! We want to pray for our country and leaders, that you will lead, guide and direct them. Also for our military men and women who served in the United States Armed Forces, and those who gave the ultimate sacrifice, in harms way, so we can enjoy freedom in our country that we now have! Let us read John 15:13 “Greater love hath no man and women, that they lay down their life, for their friends!”

“This Fourth of July,” Let’s all sing “This land is our land,” from the west coast to the east coast, this land was made, for you and me! Because the truth shall set you free, in the name of “God the Father”!
