NWS issues extreme heat alert for Goliad County

GOLIAD COUNTY – The National Weather Service predicts temperatures to rise above 100 degrees today in Goliad County and most of South Texas.

The high today should be near 103 degrees with a heat index rating near 110.

Residents are encouraged to limit outdoor activities and remain hydrated if expected to be outdoors during the heat of thre day.

The UV index is also expected to be at extreme levels throughout the day.
