Stampede 4-H Club holds annual awards ceremony

The Stampede 4-H Club closed out the 2012-2013 year with an awards ceremony during its regular meeting held May 6.

Among those honored were four senior 4-H members, seven eighth- grade graduates, members with perfect attendance, outgoing officers and the “Outstanding 4-H” honorees. Election of officers was also held for 2013-2014.

The Stampede 4-H Club extended best wishes to Brooke Bochat, Kayla Brandes, Daniel Dohmann and Olivia Riggs, who graduated from Goliad High School. The club presented each senior with a graduation picture frame.

Eighth-grade graduates Kourtney Brandes, Garrett Campbell, Garrett Coles, Kendall Coles, Holly Gaskamp, Michala Janssen and Kayla Stock were also honored.

Members with perfect attendance were also recognized. In order to receive perfect attendance, members must attend all nine meetings from September through May. Those receiving perfect attendance included Mackenzie Billo, Kayla Brandes, Kelly Brandes, Garrett Campbell, Garrett Coles, Cody Capistran, Daniel Dohmann, Madlynn Friedrichs, Raleigh Friedrichs, Bailey Janssen, Kolby Janssen, Rebecca Johnson, Shaun Justice, Matthew Kutz, Harley O’Neal, McKenna Sawyer, Rhiannon Sawyer, David Stewart and Ethan Whaley. Members were presented with insulated drinking glasses.

Outgoing senior officers who were awarded candy included Daniel Dohmann, president; Bailey Janssen, first vice president; Brooke Bochat, second vice president; Kourtney Brandes, third vice president; Michala Janssen, treasurer; Ethan Whaley, health andsafety officer; Kassidy Bego, reporter; Kayla Brandes, secretary; Cody Capistran, parliamentarian; Cayla Hahn and Olivia Riggs, council delegates; and Dustin Franke and Garrett Campbell, alternate council delegates.

Also recognized with candy were outgoing junior officers Sarah Rayburn, president; Joshua Garcia, first vice president; Mallory Shelton, second vice president; Kolby Janssen, third vice president; Raleigh Friedrichs, secretary; Brooke Yanta, treasurer; Logan Capistran, safety officer; Shelby Slover, parliamentarian; Garrett Coles, reporter; Shaun Justice and Mackenzie Billo, council delegates; and Jacob Hahn, council alternate.

Newly-elected junior officers will be: Matthew Kutz, president; Brooke Yanta, first vice president; Kyle Stock, second vice president; Kolby Janssen, third vice president; McKenna Sawyer, secretary; Raleigh Friedrichs, reporter; Shelby Slover, parliamentarian; Harley O’Neal, safety officer; Jake Billo, treasurer; Shaun Justice and Madlynn Friedrichs, council delegates; and Kasey Stock, council alternate.

The last group of members honored were those who had participated in 50 percent or more of the club’s activities. These “Outstanding Stampede Members” were presented 4-H T-shirts. Members achieving this honor included Kassidy Bego, Brynna Billo, Jake Billo, Mackenzie Billo, Brooke Bochat, Garrett Campbell, Cody Capistran, Logan Capistran, Dylan Case, Garrett Coles, Kendall Coles, Daniel Dohmann, Madlynn Friedrichs, Raleigh Friedrichs, Holly Gaskamp, Kyle Gaskamp, Bailey Janssen, Kolby Janssen, Michala Janssen, Shaun Justice, Rebecca Johnson, Matthew Kutz, Harley O’Neal, Sarah Rayburn, McKenna Sawyer, Rhiannon Sawyer, Mallory Shelton, Shelby Slover, David Stewart, Kyle Stock, Ethan Whaley, and Brooke Yanta.

Club Managers Debbie Henning and Debbie Bego extended their appreciation to all the parents who assisted with the club’s activities throughout the year and are looking forward to another successful year in 2013-14.
