WOODSBORO – On the first day of the Woodsboro Sofball camp the young ladies worked on fundamentals, skills and drills of fielding, throwing and catching.

Day two was devoted to the fundamentals, skills and drills of hitting, bunting, slap hitting and sliding. Day three brought some rain but the girls were able to move the camp into the Woodsboro gym and continued to work on refining fundamental skills learned the first two days.

The girls were still up beat and continued to work hard even though mother nature blessed us with much needed rain. Attending the camp were young ladies from Woodsboro, Refugio, Victoria, Beeville and San Antonio. Camp attendees were Makayla Arzola, Jessi Gonzales, Hailey Allen, Kaleigh Castillo, Avery Gomez, Jackie Gomez, Serenity Gomez, Sidney Horner, Remington Bolcik, Mackenzie Borden, Hannah Borden, Skylar Hall, Gene Carmichael, Ali Carmichael, SandyKay Thompson, Nicole Martin, Analisa Arriaga, Hannah Friedrichs, Isabel Freidrichs, Heather Wineman, Mia Brown, Casidy Brown, Jaylann Brown, Kasten Cisneros, Jayden Ortega, Gabby Miller, Olivia McNamara, Taylor Nixon, Kayla Hill, Tonya Rodriguez, Ryann Rodriguez, and Alyssa Varela.

Woodsboro softball Coach Jaime Cano, assistant coach Julie Carmichael, Woodsboro ex-players Kati Perez, Ashley Barraza and University of Houston at Victoria pitcher Megan Carter and Texas A&M Corpus Christi short stop Valerie Perez would like to thank all the girls that attended the 2013 Woodsboro Softball camp.
