Eagles, Lady Eagles honored at all-sports booster banquet

WOODSBORO – The Woodsboro All-Sports Booster Club hosted its 2012-2013 Banquet Tuesday, May 21, at the Refugio County Expo Center.

Logan Moses was named the male athlete of the year; and Noorie Hann and Alicen Grimes were co-athletes of the year.

In football, Jared Martinez was selected for the Iron Eagle award. Jonathan Flores received defensive MVP and Tyler Quesada offensive MVP. Debray Bonner was named MVP.

In volleyball, Hanna Niemann was selected for the Lady Eagle Heart Award. Toni Martinez was named MVP.

Summer Scrimpsher and Jared Martinez were named cross-country winners.

In basketball, Lady Eagles Jamie Wilson received the Heart Award. Martinez received the Lady Eagle spirit award. Taylor Perez received MVP.

Eagle Connor Payne received the Hustling award and Wyatt Foss received Most Dedicated award in Basketball.

Noorie Hann and Dan Hann received the Ace award in Tennis.

In track, Josie Gonzales was named newcomer of the year and Kayse McCool received the Heart award. Alicen Grimes and Noorie Hann was named Co-MVP.

Quesada received the Fighting Heart Award and Andy Villarreal was named MVP.

In golf, Brittney Lopez received Lady Linkster and J.T. Blaschke, Linkster.

In softball, Taylor Perez was offensive MvP and Jamie Wilson received Golden Glove. In baseball, Moses was offensive MVP and J.T. Blaschke received Golden Glove.
