Goliad could host PBR event in November

GOLIAD – Texas AgriLife Extension Agent Brian Yanta told Goliad County Commissioners during Monday’s meeting that he is working on bring a PBR rodeo event to Goliad on Nov. 13.

The commissioners unanimously granted the use of the Goliad County Fairgrounds for the event.

Also Monday, commissioners unanimously approved payment of $2,359.29 to Alison, Bass & Associates from contingent and uncommitted funds, unanimously approved gas pipeline construction and an indemnity contract with DCP Mainstream across West Air Base Road, unanimously approved setting a public hearing date for posting a 35 mph speed limit on West Air Base Road, unanimously adopted the budget calendar for the 2014 fiscal year and unanimously approved the Goliad County Library to use $10,000 from the White Family Trust to convert microfilm.
