COLLEGE STATION – The Refugio Livestock Judging Team, coached by Clay Neel, competed at the District 11 contest in College Station. On Saturday, April 20.

The Senior team consisting of HC Neel, Derek Ressmann and Dalton Klare placed fourth overall, fifth in cattle, fourth in swine, fourth in sheep & goats and fifth in oral reasons.

HC Neel placed third overall, sixth in cattle, fourth in reasons, twelfth in sheep and goats and third in swine. His overall placing qualified him to compete in the State contest in June. Ressmann placed 14th in sheep and goats. Klare placed 12th overall, 10th in cattle, 14th in sheep and goats and 15th in swine.

The Intermediate team made up of Kodye Neel, Ryan Speis, Kasandra Nunez and K’Cee Ponce placed second overall, second in cattle, fifth in oral reasons, sixth in sheep and goats and sixth in swine. Kodye Neel placed second overall, first in cattle and second in oral reasons. Speis placed seventh overall, 11th in cattle and sixth in sheep and goats.
