Kevin Spencer of R.W. Harden & Associates described the water in the Jasper Aquifer as “slightly brackish.”

That aquifer was the primary source of Beeville’s water until the current surface water system was built by the Beeville Water Supply District.

Why is it that now we are told that we need reverse osmosis to use the water? If that’s the case, then repair the existing wells, pumps and service lines and let the customers use their own personal water filters at home. It will be a lot cheaper and won’t put a big burden on the residents.

A former politician at the first public water meeting told me, “If you don’t have a solution, stay silent.” That appears to be the problem that the politicians and management have right now. They are not interested in communicating with the people on what is needed; they are more interested in the needs of the consultants and their financial gains.
