WOODSBORO – The District UIL meet was held on March 21-23 at Woodsboro High School with 11 schools competing. Woodsboro captured second place with a total of 326 points and 15 students qualified to advance to the region meet in 10 events.

Nick Salyers, placed 1st in mathematics, Dan Han, 3rd, Matt Steele, 4th, and Nick, Dan, Matt and Josh Martinez. The team earned 1st placehonors.

Nick Salyers, placed 1st in number sense, Dan Han, 3rd, and Nick, Dan, Lauren Cramer and Michelle Martinez earning 1st place team.

Nick Salyers placed 1st in spelling, Alex Garcia, 6th, and Nick, Alex, Azalea Garcia and Jared Martinez, 1st place team

Toni Bouck placed 2nd in accounting; Cheyenne McGovern,5th; Matt Steele,6th. Toni, Cheyenne, Matt and Malorie Nesloney earned 2nd place team honors.

Nick Salyers placed 4th in calculator applications.

Bria Brown placed 4th in current issues, Summer Scrimpsher, 5th; and Bria, Summer, David Carmichael and Jamie Wilson, with the team capturing second place.

Toni Bouck placed 3rd in computer application, Nick Salyers, 5th.

Nick Salyers came in 2nd in computer science; Toni Bouck, 5th; Matt Steele, 6th. Nick, Toni, Matt earned 2nd place team.

In editorial writing, Tana Salyers placed 3rd; and in headline writing, Kasye McCool, 5th.

Raven Mitchell earned 6th in ready writing; Logan Moses 3rd in informative speaking and Raven Mitchell, 4th.

Lauren Cramer placed 4th in literary criticism, Noorie Han, 6th, and Lauren, Noorie, Toni Martinez and Alicen Grimes earned the 2nd place team.

Kasie Fierova placed 3rd in poetry, Kristina Foster, 5th.

Cheyenne McGovern placed 2nd in prose.

One Act Play

Hallie Martinez and Toni Bouck were named All Star Cast; and Matt Steele was named Best Actor.

Kasie Fierova and Cheyenne McGovern were named Honrable mention All Star Cast.
