The Refugio County Ministers Fellowship will sponsor Vacation Bible School for ages three years to adult beginning June 6 - 10, from 5:30 to 8 p.m.

This year’s theme is “Inside Out and Upside Down on Main Street, Where Jesus makes a difference every day!”

The theme is taken from Psalm 25: 4-5.

Each day the children will work on memorizing the theme’s scripture and connecting the Bible story (parable) and verse to the word on the street.

Participating churches include Union Baptist Church, Mt. Pilgrim Baptist Church, New Light Baptist Church, St. Luke Baptist Church, Refugio Tabernacle and St. Memorial COGIC.

All students and adults will meet at the base church, Union Baptist Church, each day at 5:30 p.m. for opening ceremonies and refreshments and then will disburse to classes at their assigned locations.

Addresses for each location of pickup of children and phone numbers of teachers will be sent home with each child on the first day.

“We are asking that parents/guardians please bring or send all information on their children with them for registration purposes,” said Patty Lewis, organizer.

Information needed includes the name of child, birthday and age, parent/guardian name, address, city, home/cell numbers.

“We are excited about the opportunity to learn Jesus’ stories in fun, new ways,” Lewis said.

Lottie Davis is vacation bible school director, the Rev. Eugene Lewis is minister of education and the Rev. Karl Combs is president.
