SKIDMORE – After 2 1/2 hours behind closed doors in executive session Friday, Skidmore-Tynan ISD trustees simply voted to “authorize legal counsel to proceed as discussed in closed meeting.”

Up for discussion was “Consideration and possible action relating to matters of employment of the superintendent of schools, to include granting authorization to finalize an agreement.”

James Bennett, who was recently elected president of the school board, declined to comment on the agenda items saying that it involved consultation with their attorney.

Present at the meeting and voting in favor of the legal counsel proceeding were Bennett, Troy Hughes, Gabriel Hinojosa, Randy Rix and Edward Polasek. Not present at the 11:30 a.m. meeting were Chris Lamprecht and Salvador Soto Jr.
