Marjorie Jean (Pullin) Bensmiller, 79, of Whitsett, died Saturday, Aug. 10, 2013.

Mrs. Bensmiller was born in Whitsett on Dec. 28, 1933, and grew up in Whitsett. She attended college at Southwest Texas State University and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in home economics. While attending Southwest Texas State University, she met and married Richard Bensmiller. She later received a master’s degree in speech therapy from Our Lady of the Lake University in San Antonio. She enjoyed traveling, books, camping and nature.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Earl Bensmiller; a daughter, Dianna Ruth Bensmiller Bryan; and her parents, Harry and Ruth Pullin.

Survivors include her sons, Barry (Terry) Bensmiller of Waxahachie, Scott (Dewesa) Bensmiller of Lucas and Kevin (Tina) Bensmiller of Whitsett; and eight grandchildren, Ruth Bryan, Hannah Bryan, Sarah Bryan, Todd Bensmiller, Jason Bensmiller, Audrey Bensmiller, Randall Griffin and Taylor Griffin.   

Visitation will be held at Hurley Funeral Home in Pleasanton on Tuesday, Aug. 13.

A graveside services and interment will be held at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Whitsett Wednesday, Aug. 14, at 10 a.m.
