The Museum received several calls in reference to the solider, but no one identified the photo. The solider in the photo is James M. Johnson III, “Marnie;” he served as MP during the Korean War in 1951-53.

This week’s photo is ready for identification, if you know the solider call the museum 361-449-3325.

The fourth grade Gifted and Talented students from the George West school district visited the museum and were given a written test on historical items. After the testing the students were reward with ice cream floats.

The teacher, Krista Gerth, was in charge of the students who toured the Veterans Depot and has members of their families pictured in their uniforms.

Thanks to the students who visited the museum, they were very well behaved and enjoyed themselves.
