Kinder thru fifth grade had another visit from their friend Trooper Charlie Ramirez from Corpus Christi, he paid a visit by to speak with the students of Three Rivers Elementary on the importance Stranger Danger and Bicycle Safety. There were many rules taught about safety signals as summer approaches and it was important to teach them since the increased population in our community. Trooper Charlie Ramirez wanted to teach the students from Three Rivers Elementary about being safe in our community and to always be aware of your surroundings. The students enjoyed listening and learning from Trooper Charlie Ramirez.

With summer break just around the corner, the time has come to prepare children for a safe summer.

Trooper Ramirez from the Corpus Christi Texas Department of Public Safety recently paid a visit to TR Elementary to speak with the children in preparation of summer safety.

Trooper Ramirez covered Bicycle Safety and Stanger Danger, just two of the many programs offered by TDPS to educate the public.

During the bicycle safety Trooper Ramirez covered the following tips;

• Have adequate reflectors

• Make sure seat is adjusted properly to height and angle.

• Have proper air pressure in tires.

• Make sure handle bars are secure and at the proper height.

• Always wear a helmet, even if rollerblading, or skate boarding.

• Never ride bike at night.
