Jack W. Miller, 78, died Thursday, April 18, 2013, at a hospital in Corpus Christi following an extended illness.

Mr. Miller was born to Gene and Beatrice (Cheney) Miller on Jan. 9, 1935, in Mathis. He was an off-shore crane operator in the oilfield industry.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Billy Miller; his wife, Elsie (Klepac) Miller; and a granddaughter, Stacey Neuman.

Survivors include daughters, Phyllis (Jimmy) Cockrell of Baytown and Karen (Allen) Moffett of Leakey; a sister, Betty Jean St. Leger of Rockport; and brother-in-law, Leonard (Deana) Klepac of Sinton; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at the Calliham Community Center on Saturday, May 4, at 11 a.m. with Jimmy Lee officiating.

Services are entrusted to Roberson Funeral Home, Three Rivers.
