TRHS speech team runner-up at Bandera

The Three Rivers High School Speech and Debate Team competed in the Bandera Christmas Classic Speech Tournament on Saturday, Dec.6 and brought home the Runner-Up trophy.

There were twenty-four high schools entered in the tournament. At the end of the day, Three Rivers was awarded the Runner-Up Sweepstakes Speech Trophy. Those placing at the tournament were Rachel Dockery, 1st prose; Shelly Smith, 1st poetry; Cami Hunter, 2nd poetry; Rachel Dobie, 3rd poetry; Bradley Bellows and Jesi Hessong, 3rd cx debate; Colton House and Hannah McAfee, 3rd cx debate; Lindsey Weber, 3rd varsity LD debate; and Taylor Noble, 2nd novice LD debate.

Also competing for Three Rivers were Krissy Arnst, Jacob Moran, Bo East, Hayden Kopplin, Maegan Haag, Darcy Orsak, Josh Gutierrez, Lindsey Zamzow, and Sidney Wood.

TRHS Principal Kenneth Rohrbach and Jimmy Conn coach the speech team. The students were accompanied by Rohrbach. The team will next compete at the Medina Valley UIL Meet on Jan.10.
