The club’s president, Gary Grey, was ill and could not ride with the group, although it was his birthday. The decision was made to dedicate the ride to Gary.
The team rode among an astounding variety of wildflowers, including bluebonnets, buttercups, winecups, primrose, Indian blanket, thistle, coreopsis, purple thistle and daisies of all kinds.
Riding behind the cyclers in the club’s car was Natalie Arispe, club secretary, who also took wildflower pictures along the way as well as sport pictures of the group.
Weekly rides through the Beeville countryside are regular events for the club. To find out more about the club’s members and activities, visit the Beeville Stingers’ Web site.
