A rally from an eight-run deficit to take the lead at 9-8 showed the heart of the Refugio program. The Lady Mustangs brought in two runs in the bottom of the seventh inning with two outs to end the series.
“The Lady Cats fought hard and lost a heartbreaker,” said David Cruhm, coach.
“I am very proud of our girls. They fought hard to show that they will not go without pride!”
