The Texas Department of Public Safety, in conjunction with the Goliad County Volunteer Fire Department, conducted a training session on Traffic Crash Evidence Preservation and Emergency Vehicle Operations at the Julie Wimberly Building on July 14.
A huge thanks to Trooper Anthony Flores of DPS-San Antonio for his well-received presentation. The topics included, but were not limited to emergency response, securing the motor vehicles at the crash site, preserving evidence at the crash site, clearing the crash site and laws and regulations that pertain to emergency first responders.
Trooper Oscar Garcia Jr. and Trooper Ruben San Miguel realize the importance of offering such training to Goliad County’s emergency first responders and invited all first responders of Goliad, Schroeder, Ander-Weser, Weesatche and Fannin volunteer fire departments, Goliad County Sheriff’s Office and EMS.
They would like to thank Goliad Volunteer Fire Department Chief Alonzo Morales, Schroeder Volunteer Fire Department Chief Larry Ormsby, Fannin Volunteer Fire Department Chief Mike Wilkinson and Ander-Weser Volunteer Fire Department Chief Cory Edwards and their stations’ volunteers for their attendance and participation.
