Who do you say Jesus is? It is a deeply personal question, but not a merely private one. It is a corporate one: who do one as a community of God’s people, say that Jesus is by the way one treats one another and interact with their surrounding neighborhood. It is also a deeply political: not affiliated with any particular party or philosophy, but deeply involving one in the healing of human hurts and seeking for the establishment of a more compassionate and just society for all peoples. Who do you say Jesus is? Not just with your words, but with the very core of your being. Who do you say Jesus is?

St. Paul’s News and Notes: St. Paul’s Quilters are in need of blankets and bed pads to use as middles for their quilts. Shopping for school supplies? A great opportunity to pick up items for LWR School kits. A list of needed items is available. Sunday, Sept. 7 is God’s Work, Our Hands Sunday. The people of St. Paul’s will set up “God’s Table of Grace” in front of Adolph’s Garage in Karnes City, offering free donuts, juice, and neighborly conversation and during the morning worship service at 10:30 a.m. will collect and bless non-perishable food items for the Karnes City Schools weekend food backpack program. Watch for the bright yellow shirts and come join!
