A 911 call from a Bayside resident was received Saturday, July 26. The caller said shots were heard at the game room at 7 a.m. followed by loud voices.
Shortly thereafter, several vehicles left the scene.
Deputies were dispatched to the scene where they located two employees.
One employee had been assaulted and received head trauma. That employee was seen by local Emergency Medical personal but refused treatment.
The second employee was off duty and was not injured.
Several patrons were in the game room at the time of the robbery but had left the scene when deputies arrived.
The game room employees said that they were then zipped tied on the hands, including the patrons.
Access to the game room machines were gained by using the keys to unlock the machines and money was taken. It is unknown at this time what the amount is at this time.
The Refugio Sheriff’s Department Major Crimes Unit was activated immediately to begin the investigation.
