4-H’ers advance in district recordbook competition

Seniors advancing to the state recordbook competition are Carolyn Swize and Bailey Janssen.

The Goliad County 4-H’ers who placed at the district competition were:

• Senior Division – Kassidy Bego, second; Hanna Henson, third; Ethan Whaley second.

• Intermediate Division – Justin Swize, second; David Stewart, third; Cecilia Schoener, first; Jonathon Raska, second; Jadan Butler, third; Ashlyn Davis second.

Junior Division – Braxton Butler, second; Harley Jarzombek, third; Teresa Justice, first; Matthew Kutz, second.

All other participants received blue/red ribbons. Congratulations to all!

Officer training

We have scheduled officer training for Friday, Aug. 1 at the Goliad Golf Club. Specifics will be e-mailed.

Upcoming events

Aug. 1 – officer training

Aug. 2 – awards banquet

Aug. 18 – County Council, 7 p.m.

Aug. 21 – club manager meeting
