VICTORIA – Victoria West assistant coach Dustin Meaux was named the new head football coach at Victoria St. Joseph on July 8.

Meaux, a 2003 Goliad High School graduate, had served on the football staff and as powerlifting coach at West since 2011.

Meaux played football at Texas Lutheran, where he earned All-American Southwest Conference honors as a senior offensive lineman.

Meaux will make his head-coaching debut Aug. 29 against the Goliad Tigers.

Meaux replaces Kevin Auten, who compiled a 5-15 record at St. Joseph during the 2012-13 seasons. Auten resigned in June.
