KARNES COUNTY – A new organization has recently formed focused on efforts to beautify and improve the appearance of communities as well as rural areas located all across Karnes County.

Lavonne Murphy recently started a new group named “Keep Karnes County Beautiful” as a way to focus on three main goals of beautification, litter control and recycling.

“Our organization will offer several ways to support the effort to keep Karnes County beautiful,” Murphy said. “Watch for events happening in your community for beautification, litter control and recycling.”

Murphy said that more information will be available soon as planning for local events related to the group’s goals continues to move forward. She hopes to partner with other entities as a way to reach goals aimed at beautification of the county.

“We must always think of our current situation and prepare for the future regarding our environmental needs and responsibility,” Murphy said.

Information about the group as well as opportunities to contribute to its efforts is available at the group’s website at kkcbeautiful@yahoo.com. For more information contact kkcbeautiful@yahoo.com or call 210-906-4083.

“It’s time that we take control of our environment and responsible citizens of this count, state, country and world through these three efforts,” Murphy said. “Please join us in this endeavor.”
