A night rocket launch will be held at the Beeville Municipal Airport, 3201 Highway 59 West, on Saturday, July 12, from 5 to 10 p.m.

Admission is free, and gates open at 5 p.m. An opening ceremony will be held at 6 p.m.

It will be a continuous rocket air show for low-, mid- and high-powered rockets, and there will be a super-sized, 12-foot rocket display and exhibition for viewing. Rocketeer information and an education booth will be available, and hot dogs and drinks will be served for first 100 guests.

Twenty young rocketeer winners will take command of their own blast off. Instruction and rockets will be provided. The drawing is open to ages 3-17 (must be accompanied by parent).

The lighted rocket night launch will start at 9 p.m.

Bring your lawn chairs, friends and family to celebrate Independence Day with a “rocket’s red glare.”
