Retired Chief Warrant Officer Gilbert W. Wright, 77, died Saturday, June 21, 2014, in Buda.

He was born April 18, 1937 in Murfreesboro, Ark. to William Wright and Claudia Musgrove Wright. Mr. Wright retired from the US Army in 1979 after 25 years of service. He served as a Rotary Wing Pilot Instructor during the Korean Conflict and Vietnam War. He and Lilly Yosko married on May 16, 1981 in Runge.

Survivors include his wife, Lilly Yosko Wright of Buda; daughter, Kelly (Brett) Ruxer of Austin; and three grandchildren Lily, Willow and Phoenix Ruxer.

A rosary service will be held at 7 p.m., Wednesday, June 25 at Rhodes Funeral Home in Karnes City.

The funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m., Thursday, June 26 at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Panna Maria.

Interment will follow, with full military honors, in the Panna Maria Cemetery. Funeral services are entrusted to Rhodes Funeral Home, Inc. of Karnes City where the on-line guestbook can be signed at
