In May 2013, Loughney suddenly became mysteriously sick. There were a few miscommunications with the doctors that led to a lack of treatment for a very severe case of ulcerative colitis. She ended up almost dying, and spending several months in the hospital until they finally removed her colon. Quite the costly occurrence already, there are still two more surgeries to go to bring her life back to a resemblance of what it was before.
A sum of $10,000 is a lot, especially when it isn’t even the whole bill. It will cover enough of the occurred expenses, however, that Loughney’s family and her can manage the rest. Loughney’s family said they would be overjoyed to get any sort of help, though, and anything anyone can give would be very much appreciated.
