The Pawnee District held its first Cub Scout Day Camp in many years. The theme was Knights of the Round Table and 11 boys attended.

The Commissioners Court graciously allowed the group to utilize the Bee County Expo Center pavilion as the camp facility. The Beeville Volunteer Fire Department and Beeville Police Department came out to talk with the boys, and there was also archery and BB gun shooting (only offered at council events). The boys worked to earn their belt loops.

The boys also enjoyed box hockey, paper air rockets and sports like fooball and kickball. They did crafts as well, making swords, shields, helmets, stick horses, goo and Q-Tip bows and arrows. They made catapults, had a jousting and fencing tournament and had a knighting ceremony to top off the event.
