Detective Sgt. Greg Baron holds up one of 21 new polo shirts bought with funds donated by Dave Moore Ford recently for the Beeville Police Department’s Civilian Police Academy. Those on hand Tuesday morning when Moore was shown the shirts included, from left, Police Chief Joe Treviño, Dave Moore, Baron and CPA class leader Adrian Hernandez. Treviño said Moore’s general manager, Rick Smith, was instrumental in helping acquire the donation. Ironically, Smith was the last BPD officer to serve as instructor for the department’s academy.
