Summer fun program underway at B&G Club

BEEVILLE – The Beeville Boys and Girls Club already has summer going its way with its seasonal program of activities getting underway on May 27.

Membership in the club is designed for boys and girls 6 to 18 years of age. The annual membership fee is $35 per year from January through December. The fee includes all in-house activities including the Drug-Free Basketball League and flag football programs.

Scheduled field trips and swimming parties will include minimal additional fees.

Scheduled trips include a visit to the USS Lexington, the Texas State Aquarium, day camping, Choke Canyon, a beach trip, Skateland and the Barnhart Art Museum.

The club offers daily activities and organized physical activities and fun.

Arts and craft, computers, cooking classes, basketball, flag football, kickball, badminton, wiffle ball, soccer, karate and even a weight room are available, all under club supervision.

Members also can take advantage of the on-site library, game-room activities and the selection of the Youth of the Month and the Youth of the Year.

Swimming lessons during the summer are also available; contact the club at 361-358-6520 for start dates and to sign up your youngster.
