KENEDY – Kenedy’s annual Bluebonnet Days celebration begins Friday evening, May 2, with set up for the Triple Heat Cook-Off at 6 p.m., followed by a margarita contest at 7 p.m. in downtown Kenedy on Main Street, where all the Bluebonnet Days events will happen this year.

Friday night’s entertainment features music by DJ Guzman.

The Bluebonnet Days Parade begins Saturday, May 3 at 11 a.m. and will proceed along Main Street in Kenedy.

Immediately following the parade there will be vendors, a “kid zone,” beer garden and car and motorcycle shows opening at noon.

Live musical entertainment will continue Saturday through the whole day and into the night featuring Ben Farias, Matt Thigpen, Sellers & Hymel, Natalie Rose Band and Cameron Nelson.

Admission to Bluebonnet Days is free and open to the general public.

The Kenedy Chamber of Commerce sponsors and hosts Kenedy’s annual celebration of spring and welcoming local residents and visitors with food, drink, music and fun for the whole family.
