PALACIOS – The Goliad Tigers fell to 2-6 in District 30-2A baseball play Monday night in a 7-6 loss to the Palacios Sharks.

Colton Getschmann pitched all six innings and struck out 10.

Matt Benavides (1-for-4, home run, 2 RBI), Justin Thomas (1-for-2, run, 2 stolen bases), Zach Helmer (1-for-4, 2 runs, stolen base), and Desmond Perry (1-for-2, double) led the Tigers offensively.

Goliad returns to action Thursday at 6 p.m. when it hosts the Edna Cowboys. It will be Parents Night and parents are asked to be at the game by 5:30 p.m.
