GOLIAD – The Goliad County Sheriff’s Office arrested a former municipal court billing clerk last week on charges of theft of service and tampering with government records.

Magdalena Molly Martinez, 55, of Goliad served as a part-time billing clerk before becoming a full-time municipal court clerk in September 2013.

Martinez was fired Feb. 4 in a 4-0 vote by city council.

City council approved sending the case to the district attorney’s office at its Feb. 18 meeting.
