A frac tank fire burns out of control at a location about two miles north of Helena.
Local emergency workers responded to a report of a Frac Tank fire at an oilfield facility located about two miles north of Helena Friday afternoon.

Equipment and personnel from the Karnes City and Kenedy fire departments, Karnes County EMS and the Karnes County Sheriff's office were staged at an are about 500 feet away from the blaze as they monitored the fire from a safe distance.

At one point a small explosion was heard at the site of the fire. There were no fatalities or injuries related to the fire, according to information from Karnes County Sheriff Dwayne Villanueva.
