Goliad County sales tax revenue continues to drop

GOLIAD – Sales tax revenues for Goliad County in February were down 4.62 percent as compared to the same period a year ago, according to the office of state comptroller Susan Combs.

Goliad County business received $39,038.64 in sales tax receipts in February compared to $40,933.39 in february 2013.

For the year, Goliad County sales tax receipts are down 8.96 percent as compared to the first two months in 2013.

DeWitt County sales tax revenues are up 18.2 percent from 2013 and Karnes County is up 20.12 percent.
