REFUGIO COUNTY – Three people were charged recently with manufacture or delivery of a controlled substance.

On Jan. 8, the Refugio County Sheriff’s Office executed two of four warrants for manufacture or delivery of a controlled substance.

The warrants stemmed from an undercover operation conducted by the Major Crimes Unit of the Refugio County Sheriff’s Office.

The major crimes unit received information that these individuals were high profile narcotic dealers with the Refugio County area.

Along with the illicit narcotic dealing and the usage, crimes of thefts were occurring within the county.

Purchases of crystal methamphetamine and synthetic marijuana were made from the suspects.

Purchases were made in the town of Bayside and in the city of Refugio.

Gabriel V. Pesina, 34, of Woodsboro, was already in custody at the Refugio County Jail on other unrelated charges from previous criminal activities in Refugio County.

He was charged with manufacture or delivery of a controlled substance to wit: crystal methamphetamine.

Angelique Louan Elizondo aka “Angie,” 33, of Bayside, was arrested while living at her residence on Farm-to-Market Road 1360.

Both Pesina and Elizondo face second degree felony charges.

Sheriff’s Office deputies drove to several locations where 22-year-old Denzel Donche Young of Refugio, lived or was associated with, but they were unsuccessful in an arrest.

As of this release, Young was still wanted on charges of manufacture or delivery of a controlled substance to wit: synthetic marijuana. The offense is a state jail felony.

Anyone knowing the whereabouts of Young should contact the Refugio County Sheriff’s Office at 361-526-2351.
