Young visitors to the Holiday on the Hill Community Christmas Party work on their snowball making skills thanks to truckloads of snow brought in for the celebration at Otto Kaiser Memorial Hospital. Photos with Santa, holiday treats, crafts, pony rides and a petting zoo were all part of the fun at the Dec. 18 event sponsored by ConocoPhillips, Marathon Oil, TEE Oilfield Services, Angel Care Ambulance, King Carpet Cleaning and the Kenedy Chamber of Commerce.

Wednesday, Dec. 18, Otto Kaiser Memorial Hospital drew huge crowds to their first ever Holiday on the Hill Community Christmas Party. Over 1,200 residents came out to enjoy a night full of fun, festivities and snow. Santa visited with over 600 children and parents, hearing their Christmas wishes and posing for photos. Truckloads of snow were brought in to make for a white Christmas while hot chocolate and s’mores kept folks warm. There was a packed house in the craft room where kids could make ornaments and picture frames, and a fun photo booth where folks could dress up and mug for the cameras. Pony rides were a huge draw as children were able to take a spin around the hospital courtyard and also visit with animals in the petting zoo. The hospital promises that this will be an annual event.
