Beaverettes compete in La Vernia tournament

The Falls City Beaverettes competed in the La Vernia Basketball Tournament last weekwinning three of the four games in which they competed.

In game 1, the Beaverettes beat Eagle Pass Winn High School, 64-14.

Alussa Dziuk led the team in scoring with 15 points and Haleigh Blocker scored 12.

In game 2, the Beaverettes beat Somerset, 52-51.

Haleigh Blocker led the team in scoring with 17 and Alyssa Dziuk scored 11 points.

In game 3, the Beaverettes defeated Runge, 77-11.

Haleigh Blocker led the team in scoring with 15 points and Grace Dzuik scored 12 for the Falls City team.

After having won the first three games, the Falls City Beaverettes advanced to the championship match-up against Lytle.

Lytle came home with the 30-25 win.

Haleigh Blocker led the team with 8 points and Kaelan Cheatham scored 4 points.

The Beaverettes will compete against Devine on Tuesday, Dec. 31 at the AT&T Center in San Antonio at 11 a.m.

On Friday, Jan. 3, the Beaverettes will travel to Runge for their district opener.

Game time is 6:15 p.m.
