These six Highsteppers represented KCISD in the 2013 Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade in New York City.  Dressed in Alice In Wonderland theme costumes starting from bottom (l-r) are senior, Major Katy Gotthardt; junior, Ashley Cuevas; junior, Miranda Leal; top: junior, Lt. Savanah Segura; junior, Caley Jackson; and junior, Captain Kathryn Wiatrek.  These Highsteppers spent 6 days in NYC and visited many exciting places in the “Big Apple” - from the Statue of Liberty to an exciting Broadway show and most importantly the “Radio City Rockettes”.  Eight girls were chosen at camp for exemplifying leadership, dance technique, personality, projection and overall just a great week at camp.  The other girls chosen for this award were Desiree Ramirez, and Jenna Ochoa.
