Fans making the trip to Bastrop today for the Class 2A, Division I area playoff football game between the Goliad Tigers and McGregor Bulldogs should be prepared for a cold and wet evening.

The temperature at the 7:30 p.m. kickoff is expected to be around 41 degrees with a 16 mph wind from north-northwest making it feel like 35 degrees.

There is also a 25-percent chance of rain at kickoff.

The wet weather shouldn't affect the game significantly since Bastrop Memorial Stadium's field has an artificial surface.
