Falls City school district election set for Nov. 5

FALLS CITY – Local voters who live in the Falls City Independent School District will have the opportunity to approve or reject one or two propositions when they go to the polls on Tuesday, Nov. 5.

There are two propositions on the ballot to determine the method of reducing wealth authorized under the provisions of Chapter 41 of the Texas Education Code.

Voters will choose to vote for or against authorizing the board of trustees to purchase attendance credits from the state with local tax revenues.

Voters will choose to vote for or against authorizing the board of trustees to educate students of other school districts with local tax revenues.

Election Day hours are 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the Falls City Holy Trinity Parish Diner located at 207 E. Meyer Street in Falls City.

Early voting takes place at the Falls City ISD administration office at 525 N. Nelson in Falls City Oct. 21 through Nov. 1, Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Applications for ballots by mail must be received no later than the close of business on Oct. 25.
