Madison Perez, 6, knocks down a stack of cans to win a prize during National Night Out on the lawn of the courthouse. Almost a thousand gathered Tuesday night to celebrate in what organizers say is a chance for the public to meet law enforcement and emergency personnel. The event also included a mini health fair in the parking lot of the Joe Barnhart Bee County Library and two inflatable children’s attractions in the east parking lot at the courthouse. Games were provided by area groups including New Life Church. Included in the event was the national anthem sung by Sarah Peacock, the Pledge of Allegiance led by Daniel Hinojosa along with Trojan dancers and Diez y Seis dancers.
