Lamb, goat validation tag deadline Aug. 19

Time is fast approaching for Goliad County 4-H Club members to make decisions on how many ear tags they will need for the 2013 Texas 4-H/FFA lamb and goat validation programs. 

The deadline for ordering tags is Monday, Aug. 19. The cost of this year’s tags will be $10. Members can call in and place their orders.

4-H Connect sign-up

Effective Thursday, Aug. 15, all 4-H Connect accounts will become inactive.

Members can re-register for the 2013-2014 year after Aug. 15.

The enrollment fee will be $20. Mark 4-H check for payment option.

The enrollment fee of $20 will be covered by 4-H council if enrolled Aug. 16 through Sept. 30. After Sept. 30, members will be responsible for the enrollment fee.

The fee will be $20 through Oct. 31, then $25 starting Nov. 1 through the end of the year.

Membership is open to all youth who are in the third grade through 18 years of age.

Parents wanting to cover their child’s enrollment may donate the amount to 4-H Council or mark credit card for the enrollment fee.

Those already in the 4-H Connect system still have to re-enroll. Members can go back to their original 4-H Connect account, and update their information.
