Concerned with city’s priorities

I have been disturbed by what is happening here in our city of Beeville, especially on the increase of fees being added to our utility bills. Why do we need to add a fire fee, park fee and an administrative fee and cut the programs for the elderly, disabled and the most vulnerable?

It seems that our city is not doing their job as committed to do so with our tax dollars; our streets need repairs; potholes are everywhere; there’s trash all over the city, and nothing is getting done. Is the city retaliating for the votes that were cast by our citizens concerning the water issue or what?

All of this that is occurring in our city of Beeville is plainly just not justifiable. How can our elected officials burden our city with extra fees and cut programs for the poor, when our sales tax revenues from the state comptroller’s office has been amounting into the millions. This is in accordance with Susan Combs of the State Comptroller’s office. It would seem that our city would benefit from a complete audit of our financial system.
